MCMGA GOAT TALK
Mills County BBQ & Goat Cook-Off
The MCMGA will be setup across from the basketball court in the Goldthwaite City Park during the goat cook-off.
Each year we provide goat, cooked by our members to the public. We will also have our 3rd Annual Best Dressed Goat
Contest, a silent auction and more. So come out and see Saturday, April 26th at the park.
MEAT GOAT CAPITAL CLASSIC
This year's show will be held Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th.
More information will be available soon.
Scholarship Information
Each year the MCMGA gives a $1000.00 scholarship to a Mills
County graduating senior. Scholarship applications will soon be available through Mills County schools. The scholarship
will be presented to the winner at the school awards ceremony.
A recepient of the MCMGA scholarship is asked to be attend
and help out at MCMGA events throughout the Year.

NEW MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES:
The MCMGA has now opened up to surrounding counties. This decision was made upon the number of request from persons living
outside Mills county, who asked to join the association.
The surrounding counties now included are as follows: Comanche, Lampasas, Brown, Hamilton, and San Saba.
All members are active members. This means, throughout the year, the MCMGA has scheduled events. All members are
required to work the events. Example: The Meat Goat Capital Classic Goat Show is held the 2nd weekend in May each
year. Members form a committee to plan the show, set pens before the show, work the show, and take down the
pens after the show. This is what it takes to be an active member.
